2025 July

Updated July 9th, 2025, from my home in Bangalore, where the skies shift between gold and grey, and the monsoon lingers in the air. Warm days, heavy evenings, and the quiet promise of rain.

READING

Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins
Reading Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins during those restless nights when sleep won’t come. There’s something about his raw honesty and relentless mindset that cuts through the noise. It doesn’t lull you to sleep. It wakes something up. When your mind is spiraling and you’re stuck between regret and restlessness, his words don’t comfort. They challenge. And sometimes, that’s exactly what I need.

Red Raising by Pierce Brown
Recently started reading fiction again. Picked up Red Rising, and it pulled me in fast. It’s not just the world or the action — it’s Darrow’s pain, his discipline, the way he refuses to stay broken. Feels personal. When you’re trying to rebuild yourself, stories like this hit different. The war might be in space, but the real fight is always inside.

WEBSITE

yasir.page
Spending most of my time working on the content for this site. Writing, rewriting, deleting, starting over. Not chasing design right now, just trying to keep it real and honest.

HEALTH

Intermittent Fasting
Back on intermittent fasting these past few days. I had lost about 10 kg, but recently regained 1.5. Feels like I’ve hit a plateau. Momentum’s harder to find right now, but I’m still showing up. No panic, just adjusting, staying patient, and moving forward.

WRITING BOOK

Beneath the Skies of Qom.
It’s a memoir of my years as a student in the City of Light, not just a place I lived, but a place that changed me. This book is a reflection of a deeper spiritual connection that binds me to Qom, a city that broke me open, anchored my faith, and quietly transformed my life. I’m writing to remember, to honor, and in some way, to return.
